Equipment:

There are two Toshiba Multi-Function Devices located in ACEB 2415. These devices are capable of both colour and black and white printing, scanning to email or USB and photocopying.

Payment, Costs and Refunds:

Payment

All printing and copying is paid for through your PaperCut account. You can add funds to your PaperCut account using a credit card or pre-paid PaperCut card.  

Pre-paid cards are available for purchase in $1.00, $5.00, $10.00 or $20.00 amounts at the Service Desk of most library locations.

You must have a minimum of 50¢ on your PaperCut account to print, copy, or scan.

Credit Card - PaperCut accepts Visa and MasterCard credit cards. The minimum amount you add by credit card is $5.00.

Cash - Pre-paid PaperCut cards can be purchased with cash at most Western Libraries Service Desk locations. These cards are available in amounts of $1.00, $5.00, $10.00 and $20.00.

Debit - Pre-paid PaperCut cards can be purchased with debit at The D.B. Weldon Library and Allyn and Betty Taylor Library. These cards are available in amounts of $1.00, $5.00, $10.00 and $20.00.

10¢ per page, 20¢ double-sided

Colour

50¢ per page, $1 double-sided

Scanning

  • Scanning to email or USB device is free

Refunds

Western Engineering will accept the following reasons for refunds:

  • Streaked or faded toner

  • Paper jams where printer doesn't automatically reprint the job

  • Printer must be powered down to fix an error and the print job does not print upon powering back up.

If you need a refund for your print, photocopy or scanned job please contact the ITG Help Desk (enghelp@uwo.ca).

Refunds to your PaperCut account OR reprints will be provided at the discretion of staff.

Staff will not issue refunds for any unused balance on your PaperCut account, including when you leave Western and/or graduate. You are advised to only add the amount of funds to your PaperCut account you will need for your print, copy or scan jobs.

File Size Limits

Printing

PaperCut will not print file(s) that exceed a certain limit in total. It is suggested that you send files separately.

Scanning

There is a 25 MB limit for scanning to email. It is suggested that you send files in separate emails to avoid exceeding this limit.

There is no limit to scanning to a USB.
